Working with yr 12's recently at Davenant Foundation School. One of my tips for helping teens (or anyone) with stress / pressure / anxiety is to look at your daily habits and then make ONE change that could have a positive impact. These could be:
1. Go to bed 30 minute earlier than usual, sleep is vital for cognitive function and clarity of mind.

2. Have a Digital Detox day, turn off all screens and devices.

3. Set aside time every week to eat a meal together (again without phones) this allows an opportunity for chat / discussion.

4. Exercise! Move in any way that feels good. Again this is required for optimum brain function and release of happy hormones.

5. Keep a diary or journal. Spend 15 minutes each evening blurting out on the page everything that's on your mind. Get rid of it.
